Maren and Maxine, co-founders of Spirit Care Services, come to this business with a strong sense of purpose, born of years of experience working with and advocating for the underserved populations and elders. In the course of this work, they became aware that too many of them are spending long hours alone, desperate for help keeping up their homes, afraid to take the bus to needed appointments, unable to get to food shelves or proper medical care. In many cases, they are unaware of the services they are eligible for through state or government agencies. Maren, with her background in managing programs at organizations like The Division of Indian Work, has been an advocate for elders and has extensive experience in assisting low-income elders. She worked as a navigator, aiding individuals in signing up for essential services like medical assistance, energy assistance, SNAP, and waivers. Her networking efforts within the Native American community and facilitating access to elder programs, show a dedication to assisting vulnerable communities. On the other hand, Maxine's vast experience in small business management, along with her role in structuring Spirit Care Services, reflects a proficiency in research, planning, and organizational development. Her efforts, and the unique combination of empathy and business expertise ensures that every aspect of our service is infused with care, professionalism, and a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for those we serve.
